Whoa!  Andy's rambling for once hit the bullseye on this post!

BHCC is a fantastic FAMILY event!  My wife hates to go 'wheeling.  I talked her into going to BHCC '98 by promising her a very mild and scenic trail ride on the second day if she would let me do the toughest they offered on the first day.  She agreed and we did just that.  I had a really good registration number (#1) so I used that to get first dibbs on the nastiest trail the Dakota Territory folks were offering.   I had a blast and got to actually flex the suspension on some really fun obstacles.

The second day we took out all the spare parts and loaded up gobs of family stuff in the trusty tractor (FJ-40).  We went on an incredibly beautiful drive through flower covered meadows and breathtaking lush forests.  The trail Leader (Chris) was
excellent and filled us in with history of the very old and historic trail. The whole family really enjoyed themselves">

excellent and filled us in with history of the very old and historic trail. The whole family really enjoyed themselves, in fact it is still brought up once in a while when the wife talks to someone new.  The day we did that the sky's opened up on parts of the "Hills" which made the Hard Core trail, that my fellow nut case 'wheeling buddies were on, turn into the trail from He**.
At the camp when stories were swapped about the days activities my wife kept insisting that I was bummed because of my choice.  She now knows that the opposite is true.   Yes, everything that happened on the hard core trail that day is what I enjoy but the fact is I wouldn't trade my day, with the family, on possibly the most beautiful trail I've ever been on for anything!

The Dakota Territory Cruisers have a niche on the event scene with their BHCC!  My plug here is just out of honesty.  Most 'wheeling events have two category's, Hard Core and Mild.  BHCC is no exception except for the fact that when your there it's just one camp!  It's like a big family reunion.  Everyone wins as there is not a "bad" trail offered!

KUDO'S to DTC for a first class event!  Because of you guys, even though my wife still can't understand why I "try to destroy my pride and joy," she can see why I choose to call TLCA folks my friends!

Serious mode off......
