Welcome to the 13th annual Black Hills Cruiser Classic in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. The Classic will be July 14-17, 2010.  Headquarters will be at Wild Bill's Campground at Highway 385 and the road to Galena, just minutes from the famous town of Deadwood, South Dakota.  Wild Bills comes equipped with a playground with full service and sleeping cabins also available.  Please call (605) 578-2800 if you are interested in the rentals (There is an additional cost from Wild Bills).  www.wildbillscamp.com

The $145.00 Classic fee includes four nights of camping, three days of trail rides, a dash plaque, and one great dinner on Saturday night. The fee will be discounted to $120.00 if you are not camping.  There is a passenger fee of $35.00 for those over 18, which includes four nights camping, three days of trail rides, and one great dinner. There is no fee for passengers under the age of 18. 

Black Hills Cruiser Classic T-Shirts are available for $15.00 each; please see the bottom of the application. Applications are processed on a first arrival basis. Written or e-mailed cancellations will be refunded after the Classic minus a $10.00 administration fee. Cancellations after July 1 are non-refundable. Application transfers will be accepted. The Classic offers a wide variety of trails from hard core rocks to scenic ghost towns. All vehicles will undergo the TLCA safety inspection and will be trail rated based on the requirements listed in the trail ratings.

The Black Hills Cruiser Classic will gladly allow all members of the family (leash required)

Celebrating Our Heritage


All of the trails are rich in history and feature breathtaking scenery. Trail ratings are assigned so that you know the vehicle requirements for each trail. All vehicles will undergo a technical inspection and will be ranked based on the vehicle requirements listed in the trail ratings. Please review the requirements and come prepared.

Office

Headquarters will be at the Wild Bill's Campground, located just west of Deadwood on Highway 385. (Map of the Black Hills). In addition to camping, Wild Bill's has seven cabins for rent. Our venue also has a grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner, laundry facility, and a playground!  Call (605) 578-2800 if you are interested in the rentals or if you will be arriving early for the Classic.

In addition, there are several motels within a close distance to Wild Bill's.  Lead/Deadwood is only 8 miles away and has numerous options for accommodations.

RULES

  1. No alcohol permitted on the trail; no firearms permitted in camp or on the trail.

  2. The trail leader is responsible for the conduct of the trail ride and his/her decisions are final. Trail leaders can disqualify any vehicle due to lack of ability to complete the trail.  If you leave a trail ride before the conclusion, you must contact the trail leader before leaving. CB radio is used by trail leaders to facilitate the trail ride. Foul language is not permitted.

  3. Vehicle technical inspections will be conducted for required safety and trail equipment. Drive responsibly to protect the environment and only where motorized vehicles are permitted. All participants must abide by U.S. Forest Service/Badlands National Park rules and regulations. Do not take items from historic sites; leave history for all to enjoy.

  4. Make sure you always maintain visual contact with the vehicles around you on trail rides. Stop and wait for the vehicle behind you if you lose sight.

  5. All vehicles must be street legal, licensed, four wheel drives. Have your own liability insurance. The BHCC is not responsible for accidents, damage, or injury to persons or vehicles. All drivers must be legally licensed and are responsible for the occupants of that vehicle. No motorcycles, three wheelers, ATVs, etc., will be allowed at any time.

  6. Each vehicle must have a fire extinguisher, first aid kit and comply with TLCA safety requirements.  A CB, tools, hi-lift jack, winch and spare parts are recommended.

REGISTRATION FORM

The Classic registration form is available on-line as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file. You will need Adobe Acrobat to read it. You may obtain this free of charge by clicking on the icon below.  Click on "Download BHCC Registration Form" to download the registration form. 

This form has "fill-in-the-blanks" capability .  To use this capability, be sure to have the latest version  of Acrobat Reader installed (version 4.0 or later).  Position your cursor ("hand") over the application section of the form, click your mouse, a vertical bar will appear showing where you can enter information.  You can move between fields with the tab key or mouse.  Checking the "Yes, I will camp" or "No, I will not camp" fields is done by tabbing to the appropriate field and pressing the space bar, or by using your mouse and clicking.  Before mailing your application to us, please circle the camping requirements by hand.   When all the information has been entered, just print it on your printer.
